Children’s Program and Nursery

The Nursery is located in the Library. Young infants and toddlers are cared for by a group of caring volunteers. They have lots of interesting toys to entertain the children.

Older children are located in the Cottage room. We call this "Children's Church." Each Sunday the leaders guide them as they make crafts and discuss a scripture story or a church season. Occasionally some of the children take part in the Liturgy at the 10:30a.m. service.

The children process into the church for the Eucharist, and may join their parents to receive communion. They return to their class until the end of the service.

The Children's Church usually leads the Garden Eucharist in June, this year on June 21st.  Parishioners bring their lawn chairs, sunscreen, hat and family for this outdoor service!  It is followed by a great lunch on the lawn.  It seldom rains, but if it does, the service is held in the Great Hall.

A Screening in Faith Program is in place for all adults that volunteer in positions of trust. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Kevin at info@stgeorgescathedral.ca
