The Feast of the Ascension

God is gone up with a merry noise: and the Lord with the sound of the trumpet
O sing praises, sing praises unto our God: O sing praises, sing praises unto our King
For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. (Text to the Motet, God is Gone Up - Croft)

Join us for an evening Choral Eucharist on Thursday 9 May as we celebrate the Feast of the Ascension. This service will be offered both in-person and online. The Very Rev. Douglas Michael will preach, and the Right Rev. William Cliff will preside. Music includes Herbert Sumsion's Communion Service in F Major, and God is Gone Up by William Croft.

Due to illness, Bishop William Cliff preached the sermon and was assisted at the altar by the Ven. David Selzer, diocesean executive officer and former interim dean of the Cathedral.
