A number of secular organizations use the Cathedral facilities. Recent events have included concerts, music classes, art shows, book studies and community meals. As part of our outreach to the Kingston community, we are delighted to make our spaces available to Queen's University music students to rehearse and perform, as well.

  • For non-Cathedral groups, insurance is required.

  • The Cathedral’s Communications Coordinator may assist in publicizing external events, provided there is reciprocal promotion.

  • Smoking and gambling are prohibited. LCBO Special Occasion Permit may be acquired and provided to the office more than 24 hours prior to the event.

More details information is available in a file at the bottom of this page. If you are interested in booking Cathedral facilities, please get in touch with Ann Wilkinson, Office Administrator, at office@stgeorgescathedral.ca.

The Library

The Library at St. George’s Cathedral is a quiet and welcoming space located on the main floor of the Cathedral office wing (beneath the Great Hall). Once the clergy vestry, it now serves as a meeting room, study area, and place for reflection. With its tall windows, comfortable seating, and collection of theological and historical texts, the Library offers an ideal setting for small groups, workshops, and personal retreat. A kitchenette is adjacent.

Anticipated fees:

Space Rental: $200/day

Weddings and Funerals

You do not need to be a member of the Cathedral to host your wedding or funeral here. There is comfort in gathering with those most beloved to you in a sacred space to honour these occassions. Livestreaming is available at an additional cost.

Sacred services at the Cathedral are ordinarily led by Cathedral clergy and musicians; however, special arrangements may be accommodated upon request.
