We are delighted to see the return of our Summer Concert Series this season! Bring a lawn chair and join us on the King Street lawn for uplifting music shared by local talent. These are a great way to spend a bit of time in the middle of a beautiful day; glorious music amidst gorgeous weather. The series begins with acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, David Finkle, on July 5 at noon. 

 

About the Artist:

David Finkle is an Indigenous musician from Kingston, Ontario, who has made a significant impact in the Canadian music scene. He is of Anishinaabe descent, and his music blends various genres, including folk, rock, and traditional Indigenous sounds, while addressing themes of cultural identity, social justice, and Indigenous rights.

David has been involved in several projects, both as a solo artist and as a member of different musical groups. His work often highlights the importance of connecting with one's roots and the struggles of Indigenous peoples in Canada, aiming to bridge cultural gaps and foster understanding through music.

As an advocate for Indigenous voices in the music industry, Finkle is part of a broader movement of Indigenous musicians who use their platforms to raise awareness about the challenges facing Indigenous communities, such as land rights, language preservation, and reconciliation with Canada's colonial history.
