This year, the Cathedral is offering book studies based on "To Love and Serve: Anglican Beliefs and Practices" by Scott Gunn. The Right Reverend William Cliff has encouraged all parishes in the Diocese of Ontario to study this book.
The Cathedral will be offering two studies concurrently through the year:
“To Love and Serve is a clear and engaging introduction to the life and customs of our particular expression of church, the Anglican Church of Canada. Here, we are invited to explore a faith community rooted in scripture, centred in worship and open to a life of love in action. This is a great resource for seekers and long-term members alike.”
To participate, you need not attend every week. Pop in as you are able. It is highly encouraged that you attend the first section if possible.
Upcoming Lenten Dates:
Feb 25/26: Introduction and Chapter 1
March 4/5: Chapters 2 & 3 (Baptismal Beliefs & Practices)
March 11/12: Chapters 4 & 5 (Eucharistic Beliefs & Practices)
March 18/19: Chapter 12 (The Burial Office, Death & Ressurection)
Please get in touch with Ann Wilkinson (office@stgeorgescathedral.ca) to obtain a copy of the book. The Diocese has dried up the publishers prints of it, so a new order is coming soon.
